Workshop: Short story

Trainer: Eslam Abushkair

Outcomes: A collection of stories titled Bayn Sabahayn (Between Two Mornings)

Biography:

Sarah is a Palestinian writer, born in the United Arab Emirates in 1987. She lived her childhood in the city of Sharjah, where she completed secondary and university education, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering.

Sarah has considered reading an imperative part of her daily routine since the age of five, as she used to read before bed. Later, she started writing at the age of 12, and her small notebook and pencil became her companions wherever she went. She participated in school competitions at the secondary level, where she ranked third in the short story category at the level of private schools in Dubai and Sharjah.

Her participation in the short story workshop in 2020 was the first of its kind for her, which she considered the beginning of her career as a writer. In addition, the workshop’s output, a collection of short stories titled Bayn Sabahayn (Between Two Mornings), is the first book she ever published.
