The reading clubs, which served as a silver lining for people to break the state of isolation during the pandemic, further act as knowledge platforms for readers as well as the community, accelerating the knowledge movement across the world. One of the significant projects launched by the MBRF, the ’Knowledge Lounge’ initiative significantly contributes to fostering the culture of reading and promoting knowledge within the UAE and beyond.  knowledge sessions were held by specialists in various fields, and many active participations in local and international book fairs. The initiative also adopted a number of platforms that contributed to the transfer of knowledge and stimulating reading among community members

Furthermore, the Knowledge Lounge has partnered with the House of Poetry to host various poetry sessions. In addition to highlighting the publications of the Dubai International Program for Writing, the initiative also holds sessions for its alumni and several panel discussions focusing on the publications of Qindeel for printing publishing, and distribution.

The Knowledge Lounge expanded the scope of its activities through virtual space to advance the knowledge movement during the pandemic. Through its local and international groups, the Knowledge Lounge executed a number of knowledge activities during this challenging period. This included 60 sessions addressing 87 books as well as live sessions covering a range of topics like poetry and translation, the management of knowledge in crises, and managing the conscious while combating challenges.
