Dr. Latifa Alfalasi

Arabic Language Curricula Expert, Ministry of Education

Dr. Latifa worked as an Associate professor in Arabic Language Department in the United Arab Emirates University for 20 years. She served as an undersecretary for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and as an assistant Dean at a college of female students.

Latifa earned her Masters and her PhD at the University of Jordan.

Her doctoral dissertation titled, “A Leveled Reading Corpus of Modern Standard Arabic” was revered in the LREC 2018. Dr. Latifa is well researched in the field of cognitive and social linguistics.

Dr. Latifa has worked in the committees of Ministry of Education to develop the Arabic Language Curricula. The topics of her thesis and dissertations delve deeply into grammar linguistics in Arabic.
