His Excellency Jamal Bin Huwaireb serves as Cultural Advisor to the Government of Dubai, and since 2013, has been managing Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF). He also heads MBRF’s board of advisors. In 2016, he was appointed Secretary General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award.

H.E. is a board member at Dubai Media Incorporated, a member of the Executive Committee of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, as well as Vice-chairman of the National Curriculum Development Committee. He is a member of the advisory board of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Sharjah University, and a member of the advisory board of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the UAE University. He was also appointed a member of the Global Leadership Council of the Said Business School, University of Oxford.  He is a member of the board of trustees at Al Falah University, a member of the board at the Saudi Media Award, and a member of the Governing Board at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning

A national historian and a pioneering man of letters, H.E. is acclaimed for chronicling the cultural and creative movement in the emirate of Dubai, as well as the wider GCC region. Furthermore, H.E. strengthened partnerships with the ministries, government and public and private institutions.
