Mahmoud Abbas

Founder & Director, Children & Youth Association, Lebanon

Mahmoud Abbas is Founder and Director of the Children and Youth Association in Lebanon, a social institution concerned with child and human rights as well as women's issues and equality. Previously, he was General Secretary of the Palestinian Youth Organization in Lebanon, Director of the Refugee Affairs Department – PLO, Secretary of the Popular Committee of Sabra & Shatila, and General Coordinator of the Popular Committees of Palestinian Camps – Lebanon. Additionally, he has participated in organizing courses, conferences, scientific and social seminars, and workshops in Lebanon and Europe, on the conditions of Palestinian refugees and their rights to security, health and education.
