Mari Yasunaga

Program Specialist, Section of Youth, Literacy and Skills Development, UNESCO

Mari Yasunaga is a Program Specialist for UNESCO’s Section of Youth, Literacy and Skills Development in the Division for Policies and Lifelong Learning Systems. Throughout her career, she has been involved in various fields of education and international development, with a specific focus on basic education, non-formal education as well as literacy. Mari has over 20 years of experience working with UNESCO, and has previously worked in other major Sections including the Section of Literacy and Non-Formal education, the Section of Basic Education, the Education for All Global Partnership Team, and the UNESCO Cairo Office.
