Alessandro Fracassetti
UNDP Resident Representative to Egypt
Alessandro Fracassetti, the UNDP Resident Representative to Egypt, has over 25 years of experience serving in international organizations, primarily in management positions. Prior to his current role, he served as the UNDP Resident Representative to Azerbaijan. Fracassetti has held management positions within UNDP for the last 15 years, including Deputy Resident Representative in Azerbaijan from 2016 to 2018, Deputy Resident Representative in Skopje, Macedonia from 2011 to July 2016, and in Zagreb, Croatia from 2006 to 2011, as well as Assistant Resident Representative in Minsk, Belarus from 2004 to 2006.
Before joining UNDP, he served with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Mr. Fracassetti holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Administration of the European Union from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Sussex, and a Certificate of Political Studies from Sciences Po, Strasbourg, France.
