For over two decades, Amr El Abd has been a driving force in Egypt’s entrepreneurial landscape. A
seasoned professional with 22+ years of experience, he has thrived as a serial entrepreneur, investor,
and director of high-growth companies.
In June 2022, Amr joined Endeavor Egypt as CEO and led a successful transformation of the
organization. As of December 2023, he has taken on an even greater challenge: Regional Managing
Director for the entire Middle East & Africa region. Endeavor, a leading global community supporting
high-impact entrepreneurs, operates in 42 markets worldwide.
Amr’s expertise is wide-ranging, encompassing new venture creation, business development, investment,
consultancy, and startup acceleration. Prior to his current roles, he served as the founding CEO and Vice
Chairman of Egypt Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on innovative Egyptian startups. He also
played a key role in establishing Falak Startups, the largest accelerator in the MENA region, as its
founding Chairman.
Beyond these ventures, Amr’s dedication to entrepreneurship is evident throughout his career. He served
as an economic advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Investment and co-founded successful ventures
across technology, logistics, training, and consultancy. Notably, in 2004, he founded the Entrepreneurs
Business Forum-Egypt (EBF), the first non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Egyptian
entrepreneurs. Amr holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Georgetown University, USA.
In 2024, Amr was appointed as Advisor for the Prime Minister for Entrepreneurship, further solidifying his
pivotal role in shaping Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
