Hazem Ibrahim

Interpreter and Journalist, Asharq News

Dubai-based certified translator Hazem Ibrahim currently holds the position of Interpreter at Asharq News – Asharq Business with Bloomberg. Prior to joining Asharq News, Hazem served for eight years as Interpreter and TV Reports Writer at CNBC Arabia TV. He also served as the Secretary General for the Syrian National Council for Disability Affairs and has translated several books and hundreds of published reports and articles. He sits on the editorial board of Harvard Business Review Arabic and serves as its main translator. 

Hazem has a BA in English Literature from Damascus University. He also studied Intercultural Communications for 2 years at California State University–Sacramento on the USA-sponsored Fulbright Scholarship.
