H.E. Dr. Salim M. AlMalik

Director General, ICESCO

His Excellency Dr. Salim M. Al Malik is the Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). Before his appointment, he served as Advisor and General Supervisor of International Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Education, Advisor on Health Affairs to the Minister of Education, and Secretary-General of the Saudi National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture. 

He also led the knowledge-based industries sector at the Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA), developing its industry strategy and attracting key investments. Previously, as Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services and Consultant on Allergy and Immunology at the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, he introduced innovative healthcare strategies focused on resource optimization. 

A recognized expert in strategic partnerships, international cooperation, and national education, culture, and health initiatives, Dr. Al Malik has also been a part-time assistant professor at Al Faisal University and actively contributes to humanitarian and voluntary initiatives.
