Khalid Lootah

Ophthalmologist, First Lieutenant, and Volunteer

Dr. First Lieutenant Ophthalmologist Khalid Abdullah Lootah, is the Deputy Coordinator of the Dubai Police General HQ with government health authorities, in addition to his field work as an ophthalmologist at the Dubai Police Health Center, and head of the Ophthalmology clinic for police employees at Dubai Hospital.

Khalid holds an MBBS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

He received several awards and honors for his voluntary roles during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the eye clinic camp in Bangladesh, and for over 2000 volunteer hours in campaigns for eye examination and treatment in the UAE and abroad.

During his employment at the Dubai Health Authority, Khalid chaired the Youth and Young Leaders Council and was a member of the Innovation Council and the Corporate Identity Promotion Committee. He led an initiative that resulted in the creation of a special eye clinic for police employees at Dubai Hospital.
