Lamiaa Khayrat
Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Programme Coordinator
Lamiaa Khayrat serves as the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Programme Coordinator, spearheading initiatives that facilitate the transition of approximately 50 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) towards eco-friendly practices annually.
Previously, Lamiaa excelled as a Youth Coordinator within the Inclusive Growth and Innovation portfolio, where she orchestrated entrepreneurial hackathons across Egypt to cultivate innovative solutions. Her tenure at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) spanned three years.
Lamiaa also served as a Teaching Assistant at the American University in Cairo, where she supported students in political science while nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset. She founded and directed "Free Spirit," a travel agency pioneering budget-friendly travel options and fostering cultural exchange.
Lamiaa holds a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a minor in History from the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She pursued further studies, earning a degree in Political Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain.
