Maitha Al Kaabi

Maitha Alkaabi is currently doing her University Summer Project in the Office of the UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change, which is preparing for holding the presidency for COP 28 in 2023.

The Oxford-Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Graduate Scholarship has enabled her to participate in a Master’s degree of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, the University of Oxford. This educational and social journey has allowed her to fulfill her life-long ambition to study amongst, and learn from the most knowledgeable on climate change and climate politics in this international arena.

In addition, her study has offered her the opportunity to develop further skills such as establishing, with peers, a group “MPP Climate Warriors” which is dedicated to discussing climate change issues and organizing field trips to maximize the advantages of studying at the University of Oxford.
