Maryam AlSaabri

Maryam Mohammed Ali AlSaabri has just finished her studies at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia with a Doctor of Professional Studies, specialized in “Future Shaping and National Security”. Her thesis studies migrant workers and the UAE national security, using mixed methods to future scenarios.

Maryam is the Head of Future Foresight Section – General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner’s Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA), where she undertakes future studies in relation to the business of GDRFA along with its strategic partners in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which includes a comprehensive futures analysis of the main operations.

She graduated from the American University in Emirates with a master’s degree about Security and Strategic Studies, and from Zayed University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, major in International Affairs and minor in Communication and Media Science.

Maryam is a College Advisory Board Member – College of Security and Global Studies in the American University in the Emirates, Dubai.
