Sara Chatila

Communications and Advocacy Officer, UN RCO United Arab Emirates

Sara is the United Nations Communications and Advocacy Manager on behalf of the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office for the UAE. She brings years of experience in communications for impact from the private sector, international organizations, and the United Nations. She is a regional expert on sustainable development communications and has led several strategic outreach and advocacy programs for the United Nations including on UN75, UN Hub at Expo 2020, and other public engagements.

She is passionate about youth empowerment and shares her expertise through mentoring and training young people on the sustainable development goals and social entrepreneurship. Sara is also a member of UN Women’s Gender Innovation Agora and the Young Arab Women Peacebuilders Program, where she advises on issues related to the agenda of women, peace and security for the Arab states.
