Ajmal Ramyar

Executive Director, Afghans for Progressive Thinking

Ajmal Ramyar is the Executive Director of Afghans for Progressive Thinking (APT), a youth-led nonprofit promoting human rights and girls' education in Afghanistan. Under his leadership, APT launched an elementary school for displaced children and the Afghan Youth Representative program to the UN. 

Since relocating to Canada in 2021, he has continued advocating for Afghan women and girls, connecting them with mentors and amplifying their voices globally. He is also a member of the SDG4 Youth Network, contributing to global education policies.
