H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy

Minister of Youth and Sports, Arab Republic of Egypt

H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy has held several prominent roles in sports administration and academia. Since 2018, he has served as Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, overseeing national sports development and youth programs.

Concurrently, he is a Professor of Sports Business Administration at Helwan University, blending academic expertise with practical leadership. Previously, as Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports (2014–2018), he contributed to policy and strategic planning.

His career also includes chairing the Cairo Stadium Authority (2012–2014), managing the UAE’s Baniyas Club as Executive Director (2009–2010), and leading Zamalek Club’s Marketing and Investment Sector (2011–2012).

With a strong background in sports management and education, he combines administrative experience, academic insight, and a deep commitment to advancing sports and youth initiatives in Egypt and beyond.
