A leading Jordanian media figure with a broad career in media policy, journalism and media affairs. She served as Minister of State for Media Affairs (June 2018 – November 2019), leading government communications and advancing media policy, and launched the first governmental fact-checking platform, "Haqqak Ta'ref" (Your Right to Know). She also chaired the Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment. Between 2012 and 2018 she became the first woman to serve as editor-in-chief of a general Arabic newspaper, leading the independent daily Al-Ghad.
