Nomination Conditions and Criteria
Any organization or individual may be nominated for MBRKA, regardless of gender, nationality, race, religion, or other personal factors, in accordance with the following conditions:
- Nominees must have made outstanding contributions to knowledge.
- Nomination can be for any of the categories announced by MBRKA; the nomination application should specify the category/field.
- Nominations must be submitted within the specified period.
- Nominations must be submitted through the MBRKA website.
- Nominations must adhere to the standards and ethics of scientific research, integrity, and intellectual property.
- A candidate can be nominated for more than one area of MBRKA but may not be nominated by the same nominator for more than one idea in any field.
- A maximum of 5 nominations (of which no more than 1 shall be in any category of knowledge) can be made by an organisation in any year.
- Nominations must be submitted in Arabic or English only.
- A candidate may not be nominated within five years of receiving a similar award.
- Nominations that do not meet all the requirements will not be accepted.
- MBRKA will be delivered to the winner if they are a natural person (individual), or to their duly authorized representative if it is a legal person (organization).
- MBRKA may be granted to the same individual or entity that was granted the award in previous years, provided that their new contribution satisfies the award entitlement requirements.
- The winner will be requested to give a speech after receiving the award of no longer than 10 minutes.
- If the winner is unable to attend in person to receive the award for a reason acceptable to the Board of Trustees, MBRKA will be delivered to the winner’s duly authorized representative.
- If the winner fails to attend to receive the award without an acceptable reason, the Board of Trustees may, at their own discretion, take the appropriate action in this regard.
- Members of the Board of Trustees or Advisory Committee may not be nominated and must step aside from discussions of nominated institutions of which they are members during the term of their service.
- The Board of Trustees shall be entitled to withdraw the award from any party in the event of breach of MBRKA conditions, or breach of scientific research standards, ethics, scientific integrity, or intellectual property, or any other breach deemed substantial and significant by the Board of Trustees.
Information and Data
- The acceptance of the Knowledge Award is considered as an agreement from the nominee that MBRKA is entitled to use the Knowledge Award winner’s information in publicity material in a variety of media.
- MBRKA may request from any nominator or nominee, specific information or data on the nominee, and any documents or other material relevant to the nomination.
