Dr. Tareq Shawqi is the Secretary General of Presidential Specialized Councils in Egypt, and the Dean of the School of Sciences and Engineering at the American University in Cairo.
Dr. Tarek was The director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Technology in the Arab countries in the period from 2008 to 2012.
Dr. Tarek Shawqi was awarded the US presidential award for excellence research in 1989, he had led the implementation of many projects around the world in the field of ICT in Education, Science and Culture.
