With a working experience of over 15 years in senior NGO roles in the MENA region, Dima Najim assumed the role of Managing Director of Education for Employment (EFE-UAE). Under her leadership, the EFE-UAE has built partnerships to catalyze youth employment through EFE Affiliates across the region, and contributed to the local projects that benefit Emirati youth through job training and placement, entrepreneurship, and employability skills, with a special focus on empowering young women through economic opportunity.
Dima has a significant professional experience in women and youth empowerment, financial inclusion, partnership management, fundraising, and operations management of NGOs. Before moving to the UAE, she served as Chief Operations Officer of Relief International/MSME in Iraq, and was part of the team assigned by AGFUND to establish the first microfinance bank in Syria. Dima holds a B.A. in Economy from Damascus University and a Master’s degree in finance from the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences.
