Programme Specialist for Higher Education and TVET, UNESCO
Anasse Bouhlal is a Higher Education and TVET Program Specialist at the UNESCO Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen. He has been working in the fields of TVET and higher education for the past 25 years.
He was recently transferred to Doha from the Beirut office, where he has served since 2017. He also had a one-year assignment at HQ in Paris.
During this period, Anasse worked in close collaboration with ministries of higher education, national commissions, and universities in GCC countries.
In previous periods, Anasse, the holder of a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, spent 4 years working for the Ministry of Higher Education in Muscat, Oman, as Director of the Engineering Programs.
In Finland, he worked as a principal at the University of Tampere and has also been a visiting professor for several years at the Bordeaux School of Management and Le Havre University in France.
