Dr. Khaled A. Mohamed is a professor of Information Science and Knowledge Management. He has a PhD from University of Pittsburgh, USA, and two master’s degrees from Cairo University and University of Pittsburgh. Currently, he is the Head of Dubai Digital Library and Knowledge Solutions with Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
Dr. Khaled has served as Director of the Digital Library Unit in the Supreme Council of Universities and has initiated the Egyptian Universities Library Consortium, managing its activities from 2007 until January 2018. He has participated in the development of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) as a member of the EKB steering committee. He has published more than 30 publications, on both national and international levels, including five books.
He was awarded the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research award for his unique research in the area of knowledge management and informatics in 2009 as well as the Arabian Advanced System award in the golf SAL in 2010. He has H index score equal 4 as indicated by SCOPUS, Google Scholar and ISI.
