Knowledge Development & Regional Focal Point MENA (UNEVOC Network)
Dr. Zubair Shahid has been associated with the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Bonn, since 2015. He holds a PhD in Development Economics, a Masters in Public Policy, and an undergraduate degree in Finance, and is currently engaged in the area of Knowledge Development, in addition to being the Regional Focal Point for the UNEVOC Network in the Arab States.
Prior to this, Dr. Shahid has five years research and programming experience in the areas of governance and social policy, which have included the World Bank, United Nations and Global Development Network (GDN). He has also taught at the Joint European Masters Program and is currently a Doctoral Fellow in the School of Local Development and Global Dynamics at Trento University, Italy. His continuing areas of engagement include governance, public finance, social policy, education and human capital development.
