Dr. Mohammed Abu Rumman received his BA in Political Science from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 1995. In 2000, he received MA in Political Science from Al Al-Bayt University in Jordan, and then in 2009, he received his PhD in Political Science from Cairo University in Egypt.
Dr. Abu Rumman was appointed as the Minister of Culture and Minister of Youth since 2018. Moreover, he is the Director of political studies units at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, in addition to being a researcher in the same center. Furthermore, he is a writer in the daily Al-Ghad newspaper of Jordan and the Director of studies in the newspaper.
His Excellency wrote many Books and studies published, most notably, "The Sociology of Extremism and Terrorism in Jordan" in cooperation with Dr. Moussa Shteiwi, issued by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan. "Lovers of martyrdom": Jihadi feminism from al-Qaeda to the Islamic state, in cooperation with Mr. Hassan Abu Haniyeh, and "Organization of the Islamic State of the Sunni crisis and the struggle against global jihadism".
