Highly presentable and influential with more than 25 years of experience as a policymaker in scientific research and higher education, Dr. Husam holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Geography and is familiar with United Nations conventions and cross-country relations consultation.
He worked as a professor at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, UAE University (September 2017 - January 2018). Before that, he worked as a Director of National Research Foundation, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE (August 2009 - October 2011). He also held the position of Cultural Attaché of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Embassy of the UAE, Washington DC (September 1998 - August 2009), Dean of Libraries at College of Humanities and Social Science, UAE University (September 1996-September 1998).
Dr. Husam successfully completed his education at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, UAE University (June 1986) and obtained a degree of Doctor of Philosophy from College of Social Science, United Kingdom (August 1994).
