Monika Bielskyte is a futurist, speculative designer, founder of Protopia Futures, and partner at African Life-Centric Design.
With expertise in information technologies and immersive media (AI, spatial computing, VR/XR, UI/UX), Monika examines both the promises and perils of innovation as the boundaries between the digital and physical worlds become increasingly blurred. She is passionate about the inclusion of disability and neurodivergence—from technology and policy to the built environment—to design a more resilient future for all of humanity.
Her career in Hollywood includes futurist consultancy for Disney/Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Monika has provided speaking and advisory services for organizations including BBC, DreamWorks, Google, Huawei, IDEO, L’Oreal, McKinsey, Meta, Microsoft, MTN, Nike, SKY, TATA, Technicolor, Telefonica, UNESCO, Universal, Warner Media, and the World Economic Forum. She has also lectured at academic and scientific institutions.
