Team Lead-Policy and Public Partnerships, Berlin Federal Foreign Office
Nicole works as a senior analyst in the crisis early warning unit at the German Federal Foreign Office, she is also the team lead for strategic partnerships.
In her capacity, she develops and implements the German Government’s strategy to advance the use of data, technology and innovation for stronger prevention, crisis response and climate action through multilateral capacity building and high-level agenda-setting.
Extending this engagement, Nicole is currently works on enabling a larger partnership between the UN and Germany on strengthening the role of innovation and technology in the humanitarian-development-peace and climate nexus.
Trained in international relations and law at UC Berkeley, UT Austin and the Göttingen University, Nicole brings to the table wide cross-sectional expertise in security policy, diplomacy, and development cooperation through her previous assignments with the US DoS and Munich Security Conference on the Syria crisis, and with GIZ on sustainable development in West Africa.
