Professor and Director of the Comparative Education Research Centre, The University of Hong Kong
Jeremy Adam Rappleye is Professor at The University of Hong Kong and Director of the Comparative Education Research Centre. An author of numerous books and peer-reviewed articles, his recent work examines the new forms of learning needed to advance student well-being and sustainability.
He has contributed to major projects for the World Bank and UNESCO and is frequently invited to high-level policy forums—most recently providing inputs to the 2023 G7 Education Ministers’ Meeting.
Across his scholarship and advisory work, Rappleye advances a clear message: the need for education to move beyond 20th century input-output models, human capital, and GDP-ism, and instead face the new challenges the 21st Century by conceptualizing education/schooling in radically new ways.
