Officer, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA)
Asma Ali Al Balooshi serves as an Officer in the Future Alternatives Division at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) - General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA). Previously, she worked as a Foresight Analyst at GDRFA and as a Political Research Officer at the Ministry of Defence.
Holding a master’s degree in Security and Strategic Studies from the American University in the Emirates, she is also a graduate of the Youth Leadership Qualification Program for Shaping the Future in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Asma represented the youth of the UAE at the Youth Debates in Jordan 2022. She is a member of the Professional Forestry Association (USA), a certified trainer for various programs in foresight, and a lecturer in the Professional Diploma program for foresight at GDRFA in Dubai.
In addition, she is a researcher, writer, and activist in voluntary work, and a recipient of the Institutional Leadership Award.
