Professor of Knowledge-Based Development, El Colegio de la Frontera Norte
Blanca is a professor and researcher dedicated to the facilitation, creation, and research of Social Learning and Management, viewing learning as a trigger for collective development. Her work focuses on Knowledge-Based Development (KBD), using learning systems and relational capital to foster collective action in communities, regions, and cities.
She operates within Knowledge Cities schemes and serves as a community broker across international knowledge-management networks, with the MAKCi Consultation as a key platform.
Blanca holds a Master’s in Development (with honours) and a PhD in Development Policy, Management, and Administration, both from the University of Manchester, UK. Since 2009, she has been a tenure-track professor and researcher in Knowledge-Based Development (Social Learning and Management) at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF) in Monterrey, Mexico.
