Dr. Ali S. Al-Kaabi is Secretary General of UAEU, where he was previously Deputy Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs and Enrollment. Additionally, he was acting Dean and Vice Dean at the College of Education, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Support, and has held a faculty position there since 2005.
He was General Coordinator of the “UNESCO – Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers” between 2009 and 2015, chaired the Advisory Council of Registry Services Evaluation Policy (RSEP), and member of the Advisory Council of Arabic Language. He was also a member of both National Commission of Culture and Education, and State Council ‘Information for All Program’ (IFAP) under the auspices of UNESCO.
Dr. Al-Kaabi’s achievements include several scientific publications including “Teacher Attrition in the UAE”, “Teacher Resistance to Educational Change in UAE”, and " Effective School Leadership”.
He has participated in many conferences and seminars, both locally and internationally, and has received various professional qualifications including Certified Arbitrator for the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and a Certificate in Quality Management in Higher Education Institutions.
