General Manager – Alternative Energy Projects Company
Dr. Hassan Qasem is the GM of Alternative Energy Project Company, a rising renewable energy developer in the region and a subsidiary of Kuwait Projects Company holding.
For the last 17 year, Dr. Qasem has developed and managed solar-related projects and research in the area of photovoltaic technology. He managed various PV-related projects including the Shygaya renewable energy park project, KISR PV indoor characterization laboratory (Kuwait) and DEWA’s R&D center (Dubai).
He has several publications in ranked journals and chaired many international conferences and workshops. He is also a senior member in the International Electrical, Electronic Engineering association and a committee member in the Device Society chapter in IEEE.
Dr. Qasem holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK, a Master’s degree in Electrical System Engineering focused on renewable energy from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
