Assistant Professor of Business Administration, American University of Dubai (AUD)
Dr. Maya Abou Zahr holds a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration (Lebanese University, 2018). With over 15 years’ managerial experience in Lebanon’s public sector at the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Court of Accounts, she is currently Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Lead Partner at AEIC/AUD.
Maya has taught more than 14 courses and served as visiting faculty at UAEU and adjunct faculty at AUD. A prolific researcher and author, she has published on sustainability, UAE education, medical tourism, the Russia–Ukraine conflict, youth empowerment and feminism, and has authored a book.
An active contributor to the intellectual community, she has presented at 70+ seminars and conferences, moderated panels including at the Dubai Literature Festival, and participates in Dubai Quality Group and cultural and entrepreneurship networks. She enjoys writing, reading and music.
