Dr. Nadera Alborno is the Dean and Professor of Education at the American University in Dubai (AUD). She is a dedicated researcher and advocate for inclusive education, focusing on promoting access, equity, and justice in learning environments.
Since joining AUD in 2000, Dr. Alborno has received the President’s Award for Teaching Excellence and has led significant initiatives, including the UAE Ministry of Education’s “School for All” program and the Stevens Initiative for virtual exchange. Her work emphasizes preparing teachers for multicultural classrooms and advancing the rights of people with disabilities.
Dr. Alborno’s research on teacher preparation, inclusion, and transformative learning informs educational policy and practice across the UAE and internationally.
