Dr. Nibal Idlebi is the chief of Innovation Section at UN-ESCWA. She is a senior policy expert in innovation and technology for sustainable development, knowledge society and digital and open government. She extensively worked on policies and strategies advancing knowledge society and digital transformation in the Arab region. In her work, she focused on enabling environment for information society, innovation policy, entrepreneurship, e-services and digital content. She has also wide expertise in digital transformation with focus on e-Government and open government.
Ms. Idlebi currently leads two regional projects the first on open government, and the second on emerging technologies and innovation for developing specific sectors. Dr. Idlebi is active member in several international and regional working groups and is a jury member of regional and international awards on innovation, entrepreneurship and digital content. Dr. Idlebi has a computer engineering degree and a Ph.D in Computer Science from France.
