Hannes Matt is a Board Member of the World Capital Institute, Europe and a specialist in ESG and sustainability measurement. He develops and applies methodologies, frameworks, and metrics that quantify performance and guide strategy.
His recent work focuses on climate- and nature-related risk management for businesses and financial institutions, including the design and integration of the supporting technology stack. Through research and service on think tanks and expert committees, he explores sustainable economics and finance, political ecology, and the socio-economic dynamics of the climate crisis.
Hannes studied sociology, politics, economics, and communication science at Zeppelin University (Friedrichshafen) and the Berlin University of the Arts, bringing an interdisciplinary lens to today’s necessary economic and social transitions.
