Jamal bin Huwaireb, the cultural advisor to the Government of Dubai, was appointed as Chief Executive Officer to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) in 2013. In 2016, a decision was issued appointing him as Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award (MBRKA), then he was named Chairman of the MBRF Advisory Board.
HE is a member of the Supreme Executive Committee of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and Vice Chairman of the National Education Curriculum Development Committee. HE was also granted advisory membership in the Advisory Council of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Sharjah, the Advisory Council of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the UAE University, and the Global Leadership Program at Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
He is also a historian and writer, with significant experience documenting the cultural and creative movement of Dubai, the UAE, and the GCC. He presents the popular TV show ‘Al Rawi’ (The Narrator) on Dubai TV. Having documented Arab and Islamic heritage, he is one of the most prominent figures in classical and Nabataean poetry and published 3 collections of classical poetry: “Lubna,” “Al-Fatena,” and “Al-Majd.”
