Regional Portfolio Specialist for Arab States, United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
Inas Hamad is the UNV Regional Portfolio Specialist for the Arab States, with responsibility for supporting volunteerism across the region. An Egyptian national, she previously served as the UNV Country Coordinator for Egypt.
With 20 years of experience in the international nonprofit sector, including roles with the World Health Organization, the World Bank, USAID, and Plan International, Ms. Hamad has worked across strategic planning, programme management, fundraising, research and database administration, and international cooperation.
She holds a master’s degree in public administration from the American University in Cairo and Columbia University in New York, with focused studies on UN management. She is also a certified trainer in gender and development from the Royal Tropical Institute in the Netherlands.
