With over 15 years of experience in the education industry, Julie is a passionate and accomplished leader dedicated to transforming lives through learning. In her current role as Regional Director at Coursera in the Lower Gulf area, she drives the company’s growth and impact in the region, helping to upskill and reskill citizens, employees, and students through high-quality learning.
Before joining Coursera, Julie held several leadership positions in the international education sector. She served in management roles at Follett, Pearson, and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, where she led strategic initiatives to expand markets across the Middle East and North Africa.
Earlier in her career, Julie facilitated skills development for recent newcomers and managed student support services at a college for international students. Her international career began as an English language teacher in Japan.
