Julie Stack is the Regional Director for the Lower Gulf at Coursera, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With over 15 years of experience in the education sector, she is a passionate people leader dedicated to transforming lives through learning. In her role at Coursera, she drives the company’s growth and impact across the region, supporting the upskilling and reskilling of citizens, employees, and students through high-quality online education.
Previously, Julie held leadership positions with Follett, Pearson, and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, where she led strategic initiatives to expand markets across the Middle East and North Africa and supported educators and learners with innovative resources and training. Earlier in Canada, she worked on skills development for newcomers and managed academic programmes and student services for international students.
Julie firmly believes that access to world-class learning should be a right, not a privilege, and continues to work to make this vision a reality.
