Senior Advisor to the High Commissioner and Representative, UNHCR Gulf Cooperation Council Countries
Khaled Khalifa is a seasoned humanitarian professional with over 30 years of experience in relief and development. He currently serves as Senior Advisor on Global Islamic Philanthropy and Representative to the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries for UNHCR, where he helps shape strategic responses for refugees and displaced communities worldwide.
He has held senior managerial positions with leading international organizations, including OCHA, USAID, DANIDA, and Islamic Relief Worldwide. Khaled holds a Ph.D. in Management Leadership and Organizational Strategy, an M.Sc. in Sustainable Development, an M.A. in English Literature and Humanities, and a Project Management Diploma. He is also a recognized international trainer in disaster management and a frequent speaker on humanitarian affairs and the Middle East.
At UNHCR, his leadership in building innovative partnerships was instrumental in the success of the Refugee Zakat Fund and the launch of the Global Islamic Fund for Refugees.
