Michael Peters was appointed Managing Director of Euronews, Europe's leading news channel in 2005, only seven years after joining the company. His time at Euronews began as Finance Manager; he was later promoted to CFO and then Deputy Managing Director. Prior to joining Euronews, he worked for the international auditing firm Arthur Andersen in Lyon, France.
Michael was elected as CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board of Euronews in 2011. In December 2021, the Company changed its governance structure by establishing a Board of Directors and named Michael Peters as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews.
Michael graduated from EM Lyon Business School with a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering. He supports various charities and is heavily involved in educational programmes, sitting on the boards of a variety of projects.
