Director, Waste Strategy and Projects, Dubai Municipality
Mohammed Ahmed Alrayees assumed many positions in field and supervisory engineering work in Dubai Municipality, including head of the Sewerage Projects Department, head of the Recycled Water Treatment Network, Stations and Treatment Department, and head of the Waste Strategy and Projects Department.
He supervised vital and important projects in the field of infrastructure, including the Jebel Ali station expansion project, the strategic deep rainwater tunnel project, in addition to supervising the preparation of sewerage and recycled water strategies, the integrated waste strategy, and the waste reduction strategy, as well as contributing to the preparation of strategic plans at Dubai Municipality.
He secured second place in the Dubai Award for Excellence in Government Performance - Distinguished Supervisory Employee category in 2021 and first place in the Dubai Municipality - Supervisory Employee category in 2020.
He participated in various teams, including the team overseeing the development of Expo 2020 services and the service development team.
Eng. Mohammed represented Dubai Municipality in arbitration meetings and participated in several working papers in regional and international seminars.
Alrayees holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
