Naimish Shah is Senior Vice President of Enterprise Architecture, Information Security and Innovation, and Head of Innovation & Emerging Technologies at Emirates NBD’s Group Digital Office. With over 20 years of experience in the Banking industry within the region, Naimish deals with Emerging Technologies looking into the future of the Banking industry. He leads in the space of Blockchain thought-leadership, and is also a renowned mentor to many entrepreneurs. Naimish strongly advocates Startup-Corporate collaborations to improve the quality and speed of innovation at both Emirates NBD and the region at large. He lead the first interbank trade finance and remittance implementations of blockchain technology in UAE between ICICI Bank in India and Emirates NBD in UAE and took part in the development of the NBD’s blockchain-based system in international transfers, trade finance transactions and check transactions as a precaution against fraud. Given his leading role in the IT Infrastructure and security management in Dubai Bank, he actively led the infrastructure and security teams to build and maintain an agile infrastructure with optimal security.
