Head of MENA Higher Education Insights and Student Mobility, British Council
Nesma Mostafa is an educator and educational researcher who believes in the power of international collaboration to advance equitable and sustainable futures. She serves as Head of MENA Higher Education Insights and Student Mobility at the British Council, where she leads regional insight generation and supports sustainable partnerships that benefit students, institutions, and governments.
In her role, Nesma helps shape the British Council’s MENA Higher Education strategy through data-driven analysis, sector research, and policy intelligence. She contributes to knowledge-exchange initiatives, promotes cross-cultural understanding, and supports the creation of inclusive, resilient learning environments across the region.
With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Nesma has strong grounding in educational policy, planning, and research, supported by a master’s degree in international and Comparative Education. She has a proven record in quality assurance, evaluation, Monitoring and Evaluation capacity development, and student support, including programmes design, coaching, and academic advising.
