Former Minister of Education in Egypt and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Egypt-Japanese University of Science and Technology
Yousry Elgamal is a Professor of Computer Engineering, a senior consultant at The Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and the Chairman of The Computer Scientific Society (CSS), Alexandria-Egypt. He served as the Minister of Education of Egypt 2005-2010, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) 2010-2014, and a senior consultant of the National Telecommunications Institute of Egypt.
Elgamal has also served in a number of positions at The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport. He has also served as a Lecturer of Nuclear Electronics at The Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Prof. Elgamal holds a D.Sc. in Computer Sciences from the George Washington University, and he was granted the Richard Merwin Award in1984. In addition, he is a board member of the Center of Special studies and Programs (CSSP) and the Center of Science and Planetarium, Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
