Safia Tmiri is Alfanar’s Executive Director, bringing a wealth of experience in the social impact sector, human capital development, and investment. She has over 15 years of experience in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company and in investment advisory at the Millennium Finance Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, and the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), working in Dubai, Istanbul, and Washington, DC.
She also launched McKinsey’s social impact practice, supporting leading NGOs, foundations, and social enterprises in improving educational outcomes and livelihoods for refugees and underserved populations in the region. Safia has helped numerous founders build and scale their social enterprises to address education and employment challenges for underprivileged communities.
In addition, she serves as a board member at Sistech and is a member of the advisory board at Masteur. Safia holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an MSc in Strategy and Finance from ESSEC Business School.
