Shafi Alam is the Head of Direct-to-Consumer Business and Corporate Marketing at Samsung Gulf Electronics. He is responsible for all aspects of strategic marketing, e-commerce, brand, and communication campaigns across Samsung Gulf’s operational markets: the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.
He focuses on building capacities and strengthening regional market leadership and excellence.
Shafi joined Samsung Global headquarters in Korea back in 2010, where he played a vital role in the launch of the Galaxy S and the Note Series. He then became the Digital Innovation Manager, Global Marketing Operations, at Samsung Global HQ.
Prior to this, Shafi held roles at Oracle as a Senior Analyst and at HP in the same position.
He holds a master’s degree in International Business from the Graduate School of International Studies, Korea University, and a BA degree in Korean language from the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India.
