Stephane le Gentil is Head of Energy Efficiency at ENGIE in the Middle East, South & Central Asia, and Turkey. Prior to this role, Stephane was CEO at Wattaqa, an organization he founded to provide strategic consultancy and advisory in energy efficiency and energy services (ESCO) in the Middle East. In parallel to these activities, Stephane was CEO of the Clean Energy Business Council promoting the development of clean energy in the MENA region.
In 2013 Stephane came to the UAE to create Etihad ESCO, the Dubai Government Super ESCO in charge of retrofitting 30,000 buildings in Dubai which he headed for 3 years. Prior to that, he spent many years at a leading Fortune 500 company to build their European energy services. Stephane is a member of the Strategic Advisory board of Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) and former Chairman of the European Association of Energy Service Companies, eu-ESCO.
